About Us
Equity Works Assoc. Inc. is committed to providing personalised and proactive services where individuals can develop their skills and abilities. We create a friendly and respectful environment where everyone, including clients, their families, our staff, and the community, can interact positively and productively.
Equity assumes the diverse, unique individuality of each person. Equity means that we do what is necessary to achieve equal rights and responsibilities for all people. We promote equity as being of benefit to all individuals with a disability and the entire community. We can all see when something Works. We believe that Equity Works. This is the message we want to communicate through our organisational name.
Equity Works has had a proud and strong presence on the Sunshine Coast since 2001 when the Parents and Citizen Group of Nambour Special School established the Sunshine Coast Family Networks Association, Inc. to support individuals and families in the community. In 2013 the Management Committee approved the name change, Equity Works Assoc. Inc. to reflect the ongoing commitment of the organisation to its founding members’ original vision.
We are a NDIS Registered organisation.
Equity Works Assoc. Inc. is a registered Charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
