A Fair Day Out 2019
This year we celebrated the 7th Annual A Fair Day Out 2019. A FREE community event at Eumundi Markets on Saturday 21st September 2019.
A Fair Day Out celebrates inclusive communities and is a wonderful creative expression for people with disabilities. The agenda of this day is all about FUN! It is a great day to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Our busy lifestyles mean that sometimes we don't get time to get together and enjoy each other's company - A Fair Day Out is a chance to do that! This year marks the 6th year of A Fair Day Out and a great time to check it out if you have not been before.
In 2019, we once again hosted the event during Disability Action Week. We thank the Sunshine Coast Regional Council for their support of this free community event. The Council regularly contributes to the costs of the event through their grants program. This year Councillor Greg Rogerson officially opened the event.
The event is supported by the hosting of the team from the Original Eumundi Markets and is a wonderful example of community supporting each other and increasing inclusion where it matters, in our favourite places!
Lots of free games and activities to participate in for the whole family.
The hub of the event is at the Eumundi Amphitheatre with stalls run by people with disability using the Original Eumundi Markets' philosophy of 'make it, bake it, sew it, grow it', as well as free art and craft activities for children + a Come and Try tent with lots of fun activities to try for the first time
The Amphitheatre Stage provided live entertainment from 9am to 1.30pm - a blend of performances including dance, music and more.
